I have known Kendyl since high school, and when she asked me to photograph her wedding to Mike, I was honored and excited. Their love story has always been inspiring, and capturing their big day felt like a beautiful milestone.
We set off on the morning of the wedding, and the skies were a brilliant shade of blue, promising a perfect day ahead. The drive was filled with anticipation, and as we approached the stunning Brick House Gardens & Nursery in Ellensburg, I couldn’t help but marvel at the beauty surrounding us. The venue was a charming oasis, with lush greenery and vibrant blooms, perfectly framing the couple’s love.
As we arrived, the weather took a slight turn, and we felt tiny droplets of rain. If you know anything about weddings, you know that rain can often feel like a harbinger of good luck! The soft pitter-patter only added to the day’s magic, creating a serene and intimate atmosphere.
Kendyl looked absolutely radiant in her wedding gown, and Mike’s face lit up when he saw her. The love between them was palpable, and as I snapped photos, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy. Every glance, every laugh, and every tender moment captured the essence of their relationship.
The ceremony took place under a beautiful arbor adorned with flowers, and as they exchanged vows, the rain seemed to pause, allowing the sun to peek through the clouds. It was as if nature itself was celebrating their union. Family and friends surrounded them, their smiles glowing with happiness, and it was a privilege to witness such a heartfelt moment.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the gardens for some portraits. The rain added a unique touch to the scenery, with droplets glistening on the leaves and petals. It was a reminder that even the unexpected can create something beautiful.
As the sun began to set, the atmosphere transformed into a warm glow, perfect for capturing candid moments during the reception. Laughter filled the air as stories were shared and dance moves were unleashed. Kendyl and Mike’s love radiated throughout the evening, making it clear that they were surrounded by love and support from their family and friends.
